My Favorite Photograph

I don't know who took this photograph. Surely it was took for a press photographer.
They are Kim Gordon (Sonic Youth's bassist), Beck Hansen, Dave Grohl (from Foo Fighters), Mike D (from Beastie Boys) and Zach de la Rocha (Rage Against The Machine's vocalist) and they are gathered in the context of "Freedom Tibetan Concert". They belong to select group of the most important musicians during the '90s. Under this premise, they (with his bands) was invited to participate in this music benefit festival that was "Freedom Tibetan Concert" in june 1996, year in that the protograph was took.

Tibet is a region situated in NE of Himalaya and it belong to Popular Republic of China, Asia. In the '50s, the tibetans require break free, for the genocide comitted by Popular Liberator Army these years. It's a constant struggle, that every years had added more victims by the government repression.

I love this photograph, because various rock styles converge, and for a good cause. The captured moment is priceless for me. They are an important part in the construction of my ideology and my identity and for any reason or circunstance is very defficult see them togheter in the real life.

My Favorite Festivity

Hello. One more time I share to you a related theme about me.

My favorite festivity is 'Oktoberfest'. It's simply awesome that exist a party for "beerlovers". 'Oktoberfest' itself is celebrated every year since 1810, between september and october, in the bavarian city of München, Germany. It's the greatest and most popular festivity in Germany, and the greatest beer festivity in the world. The visitors are about six to seven millions, and they come from other cities and countries, and all over the world.

The festivity beginning when prince Luis I from Bavaria was married Theresa from Saxony in 1810. They wanted to celebrate; they organized a horse racing and they invited all the citizens from München.
This was repeated every year, starting a tradition that it has been for more of two hundred years.

Currently, at twelve o'clock, in the midday, the mayor of München starts the festival, opening the first beer barrel. When he does, and after he exclaims "O zapftis ist" (It's open), he drinks the first beer pitcher. During these days, besides drinking and drinking local beer, there are typical costume parade and special activies as the Krinoline, a old carousel, the Schichtl theatre, place where present itself aproximately thirty performances, the Power Tower, a tower 66 metres in height, for enjoying a free fall experience (like the games in Fantasilandia) and the Olympia Looping, a roller-coaster.

I like it because I love the beer, specially the homemade beer, like Kunstmann, a Chilean brand, but a German recipe. If I have the oportunity to go to München, specifically to Oktoberfest, it would be a dream come true. I would feel in the paradise

If you go, enjoy it, just enjoy it.

Kurt Cobain

A young man, a bipolar guy, with many physical and mental problems. The voice of the Generation X. Father, husband, nephew, son, friend, a musician, a song writer, a charismatic frontman, the founder of Fecal Matter and Nirvana, the last classic band of the Rock N' Roll History.

Curtis Donald Cobain was born in February 20th of 1967 in Aberdeen, Washington, United States, town where he grew up and studied.

His parents divorced when he was 8 years old. The world was fell apart for him. It was just a nightmare for him. He began his erratic and rebel behavior in the school.

In his 14th birthday, his aunt offered the oportunity to choose his own present either have a bicycle or a guitar. He checked the guitar inmediately.

Between 1985 and 1986 he found with Dale Crover a brief musical project named Fecal Matter.

In 1987, he knew Krist Novoselic and togheter they founded Nirvana. Nirvana released four discs while he was alive: Bleach (1989), Nevermind (1991), Incesticide (1992) and In Utero (1993).

In 1992 he married Courtney Love in Hawaii. After some time she gave birth to their only daughter, Frances Bean. Before Courtney, Kurt had two girlfriend: Tracy Miranda, for about three years, and Tobi Vail, for a pair of months

He always had a stomach problems and a congenital depression. The fame exceed him and with his constant health problems, he resorted to hard drugs to cope with his life, specifically in heroin. He always was in a constant downward spiral.

In fact, in April 5th of 1994, after he came back from a tour in Europe, to his home (in Seattle, Washington) and according to expert's report, he committed suicide with a shotgun, under heroin effects. Toxicology report said that he was injected a lethal dose of heroin before pulling the trigger. However, the dissenting opinion believe that he was killed.

In Aberdeen, his hometown, there is a memorial in his honour. It was created in 2011, at 20 years of the release of Nevermind, the most popular disc of Nirvana, and their forward leap to fame, to Rock N' Roll History.

More than two decades has passed since Kurt Cobain's suicide, but the Reluctant Icon of the Generation X and the troubled voice of the nineteen nineties stood the test of time.
